DutiesImplements a quality assurance process for monitoring accuracy of pre/post contracting actions.Manages extensive contact between personnel and customers relating to changes in policies/regulations as changes occur.Evaluates overall performance of employees to identify developmental or training needs required to perform the duties of the job assigned.Advise Customers/Management/Command regarding contracting/procurement policy issues.Requirements Conditions of EmploymentAppointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.This position requires the employee to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.This position requires submission of a Financial Disclosure Statement OGE Form 450, pre-employment financial disclosure and annually thereafter in accordance with DoD Directive 5500-7-R.This position is supervisory as defined by the Office of Personnel Management's (OPM) General Schedule Supervisory Guide (GSSG). A one year probation to assess your ability to perform supervisory duties is required unless previously completed.This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 15% of the time.This is an Army Acquisition, Logistics and Technology Workforce position. Selectee must meet position requirements for Contracting Professional within 36 months of entrance on duty in accordance with the DoDI 5000.66, change 3.This is a Critical Acquisition Position (CAP). Acquisition Corps Membership is no longer required for Critical Acquisition Positions (CAP). However, waivers will continue to follow the current DACM waiver requirements and processes.This position requires a written tenure agreement to remain in Federal service for at least three years upon entering this position.Appointment to this position is subject to a one year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315. Planning work to be accomplished by subordinate employees; 2.) Reviewing contract and/or procurement actions for regulatory compliance; 3.) Analyzing metrics to monitor contracting processes that impact quality assurance. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-13).Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify.
