Position Overview:

We are seeking a meticulous Documentation Specialist at Stanley to build, manage and maintain company documents. The Documentation Specialist will be responsible for maintaining document control, including document identification, retrieval, distribution, and archiving. You are detail-oriented, with outstanding writing and interpersonal skills, and has a knack for making complex procedures easy to understand. Ultimately, the Documentation Specialist ensures that our internal documentation is accurate, accessible and updated, thus supporting our operations and compliance. This role reports directly to Sr Manager, Global Training.

This position is a hybrid role based in our Seattle, WA offices and temporary for a 6-month-long assignment.

Key Responsibilities:

Excellent written communication skills to produce clear and concise documentation.

Strong organizational and planning skills to manage multiple documentation projects simultaneously.

Technical writing skills and familiarity with various tools and software used in creating, formatting, and managing documents.

Attention to detail to ensure accuracy and completeness of all documentation.

Research and analytical skills to understand complex information and translate it into easy-to-understand documents for specific target audiences.

Ability to work collaboratively with various teams, such as developers, engineers, and product managers to gather information needed for documentation.

Problem-solving skills to identify gaps in existing content and propose improvements.

Reviewing and editing documents for accuracy and completeness.

Developing a system for easy retrieval of documents

Updating and revising documents as necessary.

Maintaining a record of all revisions through an established audit and control process.

Conducting regular audits to ensure all documents are up-to-date and accurately reflect current business processes.

Develop documentation style guidelines and ensure documents are accurately formatted and in compliance.

Education and Experience Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Technical Writing, Communications, English, or a related field.

2+ years of experience in technical writing or documentation, preferably within a CPG or technical environment.

Proficiency in documentation tools such as MS Office applications (MS Word and Excel).

Strong attention to detail and ability to work with complex technical information.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Familiarity with Content Management Systems is a plus.

Salary Range:

$24.00/hr - $29.00/hr

The base pay range for this position is for a successful candidate within the state listed. The successful candidate’s actual pay will be based on multiple factors, such as work location, job-related knowledge, skills, qualifications, and experience.
