Our professional staff of salespeople, operations, manufacturing, and professional Civil, Electrical, Mechanical and Structural Engineers has been involved from concept to completion in many of the largest projects in the United States and internationally, including hospitals, convention centers, sports venues, data centers, office building, manufacturing, and schools.PURPOSE/SUMMARY:The VDC Specialist I is crucial in facilitating interdepartmental communication, ensuring task completion, and coordinating activities across various teams within the organization. This role combines technical proficiency, industry knowledge, and effective communication skills to support the successful execution of projects.ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:Facilitate effective communication between VDC project leads, Project Managers, clients, and other stakeholders.Resolve conflicts and promote collaboration to achieve project goals.Educate new hires on VDC Service Group fundamentals and tools.Oversee modeling and project scheduling to optimize performance.Foster long-term development of team members.Identify and resolve conflicts to maintain project momentum.Coordinate task completion, model syncing, and project activities.Conduct peer checks and ensure adherence to industry standards.Utilize BIM360 and other tools for project support.Perform QA/QC procedures on deliverables.Understand construction standards and building codes.Model seismic bracing in Revit and evaluate constructability.Demonstrate knowledge of ISAT products and solutions.QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor's degree plus 3 years related work experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.Ability to present technical material and interpret contract documents, drawings, and project schedules.Knowledge of building codes, LEAN construction techniques, and LEED principles.Proficiency with BIM applications such as Navisworks Manage, Autodesk Point Layout, Trimble, Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD, and BIMTrack.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Attention to detail and a critical eye for design.Ability to read and interpret business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.Further Qualifications
