This role requires a dedicated legal professional with a proven track record of success in the courtroom and a strong commitment to seeking justice for vulnerable populations.Duties:Lead and manage all aspects of high-stakes criminal cases involving crimes against children.Develop and execute comprehensive legal strategies for complex trial cases.Represent clients in court, presenting evidence and arguing on their behalf.Conduct thorough investigations, including interviewing witnesses and gathering evidence.Prepare and file legal documents, including motions, briefs, and appeals.Provide expert legal advice and guidance to clients throughout the trial process.Collaborate with law enforcement and forensic experts as needed.Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant laws, legal precedents, and trial procedures.Mentor and supervise junior attorneys and legal staff.Engage in continuous professional development to stay current with legal practices and technologies.Requirements:Extensive experience in criminal law, specifically with cases involving crimes against children.Proven track record of handling and winning high-profile criminal trials.Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills.Excellent oral and written communication skills.Ability to handle sensitive and emotionally challenging cases with professionalism and empathy.Education:Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is preferred.Certifications:Admission to the Texas State Bar.Board certification in criminal law is highly desirable.Skills:In-depth knowledge of criminal law, particularly about child abuse and exploitation cases.Strong courtroom presence with excellent advocacy skills.Ability to manage complex legal issues and high-pressure situations.Skilled in negotiating settlements and crafting persuasive arguments.Proficiency in legal research and case management software.Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a legal team.
