Senior Trial Attorney
with
5+ years of trial experience
in
family law . The attorney will handle complex family law cases, representing clients in divorce, child custody, child support, and other family law matters. The ideal candidate must hold a
Texas law license
and have a proven track record of trial success in family law.Job Responsibilities:
Represent clients in
family law cases , including
divorce ,
child custody ,
child support ,
spousal support , and
property division
matters.Conduct all phases of
trial work , including
discovery ,
depositions ,
motion practice ,
court appearances , and
trials .Develop and execute
litigation strategies
to achieve favorable outcomes for clients in complex family law matters.Provide
legal advice
to clients on family law matters, ensuring they understand their rights and legal options.Draft and file legal documents, including
pleadings ,
motions ,
briefs , and
settlement agreements .Prepare for and represent clients in
mediations ,
negotiations , and
arbitrations
to reach settlements when possible.Handle
high-conflict cases , providing clear guidance and emotional support to clients through difficult legal matters.Manage a
diverse caseload
of family law cases, ensuring timely and effective progress through the legal process.Collaborate with other attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to manage cases and meet filing deadlines.Stay updated on
Texas family law
statutes and legal precedents to provide clients with the most current legal advice.Requirements:
Minimum of
5+ years of trial experience
in
family law .Active
Texas law license
and in good standing.Proven ability to manage
family law trials , including courtroom advocacy, evidence presentation, and witness examination.Strong oral and written communication skills , with the ability to present complex legal arguments effectively in court.Experience with
legal research , drafting legal documents and preparing cases for trial.Strong
organizational skills , with the ability to manage a heavy caseload and meet deadlines.Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced legal environment.Education:
Juris Doctor (JD)
degree from an accredited law school.Admission to the
Texas State Bar
is required.Certifications (Preferred):
Certification in
Family Law
or
Trial Advocacy
is beneficial but not required.Key Skills:
