The Business Intelligence Application Analyst II ensures the security of our data and integration within our analytic applications by providing design input, testing, and supporting others. Assigned work is generally mid-level in complexity and includes a wide range of core analytic applications and tools; CareOregon's specific use of Tableau Software and row level security; Snowflake user access policies and masking; in-house business intelligence (BI) applications and dashboards; and the data catalog. Additionally, the role supports department analysts for the application of row level security.Essential Responsibilities

Actively participate with EDW Snowflake Developers and Architect on row level security access policies.Apply and test Tableau dashboards with row level security using access policies.Build enterprise external facing dashboards with row level security applied.Build documentation and support CareOregon analysts for applying row level security.Create and maintain security focused documentation.Stay current with application security trends and knowledge of application.Partner with business and Business Intelligence Analysts to identify new row level security use cases.Provide support of analytic applications: Tableau, Power BI, Data Catalog, and our in-house built applications: FIDO Web (user interface) and Gatekeeper (security) by providing input on enhancements and integration.Analytic Application enhancement and upgrade testing.Analytic Application configuration, troubleshooting and other support.Contribute to Analytic Application and integration data governance.Support of overall Data Governance activities including data quality.May be responsible for analyst deployments: Power BI, CI/CD, Databricks, etc.May support dashboard and code optimization.Organizational Responsibilities

RequiredMinimum 3 years' experience that includes the following:Tableau, Power BI or similar visualization tool applying row level security.Note: Master's or Bachelor's degree in computer science, data analytics, or related technical areas may be acceptable in lieu of 1 year.Business intelligence experience that includes at least one of the following:SQL serverSnowflakeUse of data catalogsPreferredExperience in the healthcare or health insurance industry.Experience with Snowflake.Experience with Application Administration.Database Experience.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required

KnowledgeAdvanced understanding of Business Intelligence and Analytics concepts and practices.Advanced understanding of Tableau Desktop row level security.Knowledge of row access policies.Knowledge of agile development processes.Knowledge of Managed Care helpful.Knowledge of data catalogs preferred.Knowledge of Medicaid and/or Medicare programs helpful.Skills and AbilitiesAbility to provide leadership and oversight for data security within our analytic applications.Ability to independently gather, compile and present how to apply row level security, row access policies, and data masking.Skill in use of Tableau Desktop/Creator products and SQL.Ability to follow standards for data architecture and database design.Ability to maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant technology and best practices in the BI field with focus on security.Intermediate level skill in troubleshooting BI related technical issues.Effective presentation and facilitation skills in both small and larger group settings, both in-person and virtually.Effective ability to develop training programs and delivery methods using an equity, diversity, and inclusion lens.Excellent customer service skills.Excellent spoken and written communication skills.Ability to effectively collaborate with coworkers, staff, and leaders across all departments.Ability to work independently.Ability to employ a high degree of initiative and motivation.Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.Ability to work effectively with diverse individuals and groups.Ability to learn, focus, understand, and evaluate information and determine appropriate actions.Ability to accept direction and feedback, as well as tolerate and manage stress.Ability to see, read, and perform repetitive finger and wrist movement for at least 6 hours/day.Ability to hear and speak clearly for at least 1-3 hours/day.Working Conditions
