Description
The Department of Psychiatry is seeking to hire a part-time Behavioral Health Professional to join our Family Focused Program. You will assist with outpatient therapy groups or the UCLA Parenting Program for Children and Adolescents as well as the Children's Friendship Program. These programs provide evidence-based skills through individual psychotherapy and treatment to school age children. Primary duties include:Assessing youth eligibility for participation in outpatient therapy groups for pediatric related disordersConducting group based interventions to patientsWorking with interdisciplinary team to devise and implement group/individual therapy sessions and treatment plansAdministering interviews and rating scalesProviding treatment plan to pediatric patientsCompleting required paperwork for assessments and treatment sessionsPlease note: This is a limited position that may convert to career.Qualifications
MA's in Marriage Family Therapy or Social WorkKnowledge of expertise in Psychology protocolsKnowledge of relevant psychological, medical, and psychiatric terminologyKnowledge and expertise in treatment manuals/protocols pertaining to childhood disordersKnowledge of administering rating scales and other study related toolsSkill in interacting with persons of various social and educational backgrounds and age levelsAbility to learn and consistently follow program protocols and procedures and monitor quality assurance with a high level of accuracy and attention to detailSkill in working with a large research teamSkill in working with word processing, excel spreadsheets, and data management programs
