The Department of Psychiatry is seeking to hire a part-timeClinical Therapist to join the UCLA Student Behavioral Health Services (BHS)Program. This is a program that provides comprehensive and compassionatemedication management and therapy services to UCLA students who are enrolled inthe Student Health Insurance Plan (SHIP). You will work primarily with patientswith high acuity or chronic mental health issues. Primary duties include:Clinical evaluations of new patientsAssessing suitability for outpatient therapeuticcare and need for additional mental health servicesIndividual, family and/or grouppsychotherapeutic treatmentFormulating treatment plans which may includetherapy, counseling, crisis intervention, and referrals to outsideresources/specialistsProviding evidence-based therapeuticinterventions such as cognitive-behavioral therapy, dialectical-behavioraltherapy, or psychotherapyMaintaining detailed and accurate clinicalrecords (progress notes, treatment plans, and discharge summaries)Providing consultation to peer clinicians orspecific treatmentSalary range: $31.03/hr - $65.90/hrQualifications
Master's degree and valid CA State License in MarriageFamily Therapy (LMFT)Must be able to apply and maintain UCLA Medical StaffmembershipWorking knowledge of general theoretical and clinical modelsSkill writing clear and complete clinical notes andsummaries of clinical evaluationsExperience interacting with professional healthcareproviders in a multidisciplinary settingStrong computer skills and ability to learn new softwareprogramsAbility to work well independently and in teamsMust be able to maintain equanimity and professionaldemeanor in any situation
