Job Summary:

This is a fast-paced administrative law/litigation associate position. A qualified candidate shall be able to handle the demands and pace of litigation representing insurance companies and large public/private companies.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Taking depositions of Plaintiffs, witnesses, experts, and other parties.

Conducting written discovery.

Performing legal research.

Maintaining knowledge of current legal developments in case law and statutory changes in order to advise clients.

Drafting pleadings, findings of fact, motions, briefs, opinions, and other legal documents.

Conducting trials, hearings, and conferences with judges throughout the state.

Participating in marketing events such as conferences with prospective clients.

Ability to handle large caseloads and juggle multiple priorities and deadlines

Excellent organizational skills

Willingness to work with senior attorneys and paralegals in all aspects of litigation

Education and Qualifications:

A law degree from an ABA accredited law school

Licensed to practice law in Missouri

Preference given to attorneys with prior experience in Workers’ Compensation law

Preference given to attorneys who bring forth their own base of clients
