The Power Electrical Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining electrical systems and components related to power generation, transmission, and distribution.

Duties

Design and develop power electronic circuits and systems, including DC-DC converters, solid state transformers, and high-speed motor drives.Create and optimize PCB layouts for power electronics, ensuring minimal noise and interference while maintaining efficiency.Design and test DSP digital control algorithms.Perform simulations and analysis to validate circuit performance and reliability.Work closely with cross-functional teams, including hardware engineers, software developers, and production staff, to ensure seamless integration and troubleshooting.Review and analyze circuit designs and PCB layouts to identify potential issues and implement corrective measures.Develop and document design specifications, test procedures, and other technical documentation.Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory requirements related to power electronics and PCB design.Requirements

Must be a U.S. Citizen due to the ability to obtain a Secret Clearance for government projects.Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance, plus if already have one.Bachelor's degree is required.8+ years of experience in Power Electrical Engineering is required.Experience with designing and testing SiC based power electronic converter topologies is required.Ability to design and test low and medium voltage.Experience working with the Navy is a plus.

$80,000 - $110,000 a year
