What You Will Do

As a Grants Management Managing Consultant, you will lead our clients in building and enhancing their grants management and financial assistance operations. You will leverage your technical expertise, strategic thinking, and stakeholder engagement to provide full lifecycle grants management support for various areas, including policy development, process improvement, and other grants management modernization activities. This role is an exciting opportunity to guide clients through transformative programs and to be a part of an impactful mission.

Specific Responsibilities Will Include

Collaborate with private sector clients to establish or enhance grants management processes and procedures across the entire grants lifecycleIdentify and proactively address client needs by presenting potential solutions to challenges or issuesFacilitate client discussions and meetingsEffectively and concisely communicate and present information to clients and leadershipDevelop agendas, meeting materials, and talking points in preparation for meetingsDevelop high-quality presentations that effectively communicate key objectives and facilitate discussion across multiple stakeholdersDevelop and ensure quality deliverablesParticipate in business development activitiesGeneral project/task managementManage stakeholder feedbackParticipate in internal and external grants management-related training, knowledge management, and thought leadership activities

What You Will Need

Experience in grants management roles either at a federal agency or consulting firmThorough understanding of Uniform Guidance – 2 CFR 200, including Single Audit requirements, and its application to different types of financial assistanceAbility to quickly understand ongoing processes to develop and implement process improvementsStrong analytical, problem solving, and communication skills required, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into tangible documents and/or deliverablesExcellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of executives, managers, and subject matter expertsAbility to identify and address client needsAdvanced proficiency in the full Microsoft Suite, including MS Teams, PowerPoint, Word, and ExcelDemonstrated critical thinking skillsExperience with facilitation and consensus buildingProven ability to work independently and collaborate with othersAbility to organize, perform, and track multiple tasks accurately in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environmentBachelor’s degreeMinimum 5 years’ experience

What Would Be Nice To Have

Familiarity with the Greenhouse Gas Reduction Fund, Green Banks, or previous work in sustainabilityPrior experience standing up or enhancing full cycle grants management processes and proceduresPrior experience in areas of risk management, internal controls, financial management, program management in federal government or non-profit organizationsGrants Management certification from the National Grants Management Association or Management Concepts or other equivalent organizationsPrior experience in supporting/performing grants management-related thought leadership/knowledge management actions – attending/organizing conferences/workshops, writing white papers and journal articles, etc.Prior experience performing business development actions
