Banking/Finance Attorney

A law firm is seeking a Banking/Finance Attorney with 3+ years of experience to provide legal assistance to financial institutions in commercial loan workouts, litigation, and documentation drafting. The ideal candidate should possess a strong academic background and be capable of working with minimal supervision.Duties:Assist financial institutions through all aspects of commercial loan workouts, including litigation and drafting forbearance agreements, loan restructuring documents, and related documentation.Draft motions, discovery requests, and participate in the taking and defending of depositions.Work directly with lenders and other counsel with minimal supervision.Requirements:3+ years of experience in Banking/Finance law.Strong academic background with a J.D. from an ABA-Accredited Law School.Active attorney license in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.Ability to promptly obtain admission in the State of Iowa.Education:Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA-Accredited Law School.Certifications:Active attorney license in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.Skills:Proficient in commercial loan workouts, litigation, and documentation drafting.Strong communication and negotiation skills.Ability to work independently and collaboratively.Attention to detail and analytical skills.Familiarity with relevant banking and finance laws and regulations.
