Lateral Litigation Attorney

A law firm in Cedar Rapids is seeking a Lateral Litigation Attorney with 3+ years of experience. The candidate will be responsible for all aspects of litigation, including investigation, written discovery, depositions, briefing, motion practice, and trial, across a wide variety of subject matter litigation.Duties:Manage all aspects of litigation cases, from initial investigation through trial.Conduct legal research and analysis to support litigation strategy.Prepare and respond to written discovery requests.Conduct and defend depositions of witnesses.Draft legal briefs, motions, and other court filings.Represent clients in court proceedings, including hearings and trials.Requirements:3+ years of experience in litigation.Strong academic background with a J.D. from an ABA-Accredited law school.Active attorney license in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.Ability to promptly obtain admission in the State of Iowa.Education:Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA-Accredited law school.Certifications:Active attorney license in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.Skills:Proficiency in all aspects of litigation, including investigation, discovery, motion practice, and trial advocacy.Excellent written and oral communication skills.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines effectively.Attention to detail and accuracy in legal work product.Negotiation skills and ability to resolve disputes efficiently.
