Staff Accountant
to join their Portland team!
In this role, you will be instrumental in managing and processing the financial information essential to our construction projects.
Entry-level candidates with a degree in Accounting or Finance are encouraged to apply for this position!
Key Responsibilities
Maintain and update accounting records, including project expenses, ledgers, and other financial documents.Analyze financial data to detect trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for cost efficiency.Assist in the budgeting process by compiling historical data and aiding in expense forecasting.Work with project managers to monitor project costs and ensure they align with budgets.Process invoices and payments, ensuring accuracy and timely processing.Support month-end and year-end closing activities.Ensure adherence to accounting principles and industry regulations.Participate in internal and external audits by providing necessary information and documentation.Help develop and implement financial policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency.Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in accounting, finance, or a related field.Strong grasp of accounting principles and financial concepts.Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.Capability to work well in a team setting and manage multiple tasks.High attention to detail and accuracy in financial data handling and reporting.
