Ensure all customer technical requirements are addressed in the configuration of a solution. Work with internal and field engineers to identify these requirements and propose viable options in a timely manner.Work directly with The Sales & Field Engineering Teams on integration and deployment of new hardware including configuration of all components at the build of materials (BOM) level (server/rack/networking).Drive to closure projects by working with internal team members and vendors.Manage first article build process and production documentation management to include:
BOM ValidationHardware OptimizationEngineering Instructions
Provide technical input to designers, engineering, and other team members to help drive compelling new ideas forward. Configuring evaluation units to meet customer requirements.Work closely with Engineering, Technical Project Management, Supply Chain and Purchasing to ensure a smooth transition from evaluation units to mass production products.Evaluate continuous improvement measures on current hardware designs to better meet customer needs.Understand Form, Fit & Function of all types of rack related hardware for new and existing projects.Coordinate ECN/ECO process in internal and external PLM systems.Develop and maintain excellent working relationships with vendors, and internal teams in support of overall company objectives.Education:
Associate Degree in an Engineering discipline (preferably Industrial, Manufacturing, or Mechanical) or equivalent experience.Analytical and problem-solving skills with a strong continuous improvement mindset to drive and identify improvement plans.Detail-oriented with excellent written and verbal communication skills, to include presentation skills. Will need to write clear and concise assembly instructions using Word and/or PowerPoint.Experience with Agile and like PLM systems is a plus.Deep knowledge of major rack component architecture and design
Familiarity with network gear such as switches, optics, and cables.Knowledge of network topology and device configuration.Understanding of rack power and cooling technologies.
Flexibility to travel to customer locations as needed (5%+ Domestic & International).Hyve Perks:
