SI-BONE developed an innovative, patented implant to fuse the SI joint. The iFuse Implant System provides a less invasive alternative to traditional sacroiliac (SI) joint fusion surgery and has been used in over 90,000 procedures to date.We are looking for people who are passionate about our mission and who are willing to work hard to achieve it. The ideal candidate should demonstrate expertise in managing data pipelines, ensuring data quality, and collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams. Strong problem-solving abilities, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to continuous learning are essential for success in this role. They should possess strong proficiency in SQL, Python, or Scala, along with hands-on experience in data modeling, ETL pipeline development, and data warehousing.Specific Responsibilities:Database Management:Design and maintain efficient and secure databases to support business operations.Develop and implement data governance policies and procedures.Optimize database performance and ensure data integrity.Strong understanding of data quality principles and techniques for data validation and cleansing.Experience implementing data quality checks and monitoring mechanisms.Strong troubleshooting skills to debug issues within data pipelines and systems.Stay up to date with emerging Data Engineer tools, techniques, and trends.ETL (Extract, Transform, Load):Proficiency in designing and implementing scalable ETL processes to collect and process large volumes of data.Identify integration requirements and develop appropriate strategies.Ability to analyze complex data-related problems and develop effective solutions.Knowledge of data integration techniques and tools.Implement data mapping and transformation techniques.Project Management:Lead Datawarehouse projects from initiation to completion.Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.Develop project plans, timelines, and resource allocation.Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies.Communicate project updates and status reports to stakeholders.Documentation and Reporting:Document database and integration processes, procedures, and standards.Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation for reference and audit purposes.Generate regular reports on database performance, integration metrics, and project status.Present findings, recommendations, and insights to IT management.Educational Requirements:Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field.Proven experience (10+ years) as a Data Engineer, Database Specialist, or similar role.Expertise:In-depth knowledge of data modeling, data warehousing, and data governance principles.Strong technical expertise in Enterprise Solution Systems (Preferably QAD ERP, Salesforce.com, Snowflake, etc.).Strong technical expertise in database management systems (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, PowerBI, etc.).Exposure to integration technologies and tools (e.g., ETL, APIs, web services, middleware, etc.).Experience with cloud-based databases and integration platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, MuleSoft, Boomi, etc.).Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.Experience in a manufacturing environment with medical device manufacturing preferred and experience with validated/compliance systems like SOX, GDPR, PHI, PII, etc.Excellent written and verbal communication skills and high level of personal integrity.Innovative thinking and leadership with an ability to lead and motivate cross-functional, interdisciplinary teams.Strong attention to detail with an analytical mind and outstanding problem-solving skills.Salary range: $140,000- $155,000. The compensation range for this position is specific to the location and is in good faith what SI-BONE expects to pay for the position taking into account the wide variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including job-related knowledge; skillset; experience, education and training; certifications; and other relevant business and organizational factors.Supplemental pay: bonus and stock.We are aware of active recruitment scams using the SI-BONE name, in which individuals pose as our recruiters and post fake remote job openings and make fake job offers on the Internet.
