We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Director of Food and Beverage to lead our culinary operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the entire food and beverage department, including the main restaurant, all-day dining, pool and beach services, banquets, special events, in-room dining, and external vendor partnerships. Reporting directly to the General Manager, this individual will play a critical role in driving revenue growth, enhancing the guest experience, and developing strategic marketing initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the daily operations of the main restaurant, all-day dining, pool and beach services, banquets, special events, and in-room dining
Develop and implement effective strategies to drive revenue growth and increase profitability
Foster strong relationships with external vendors and negotiate contracts for events and services
Coach, mentor, and train restaurant managers, chefs, and staff to ensure exceptional service delivery
Collaborate with the Marketing Department to develop and execute marketing initiatives that promote the food and beverage offerings
Provide financial oversight and management of the food and beverage department's budget
Present monthly reports to ownership highlighting key performance indicators, financials, and operational metrics
Develop and maintain relationships with ownership to ensure alignment with the company's overall vision and goals
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, as well as internal policies and procedures
Requirements:
7+ years of experience in a senior food and beverage leadership role in a luxury, lifestyle, or boutique hotel or resort
Proven track record of success in driving revenue growth, improving operational efficiency, and enhancing the guest experience
Strong understanding of marketing principles and ability to develop creative marketing initiatives
Excellent coaching and mentoring skills, with experience in developing high-performing teams
Ability to work effectively with external vendors and negotiate contracts
Strong analytical skills, with experience in financial analysis and budgeting
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to tell the story factually and creatively
Familiarity with Miami's hospitality market is a plus
Must be a US Citizen
Nice to Have:
Experience working in a fast-paced environment with multiple food and beverage outlets
Knowledge of local suppliers and vendors
Certification in food safety or hospitality management (e.g. HACCP, ServSafe)
