This position is located in the Legal Division, Resolution & Receivership Branch of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation in Washington, D.C. Salary reflects a pay cap for this position of $290,000.Duties

Provides expert legal counsel to the Chairperson; Deputy to the Chairperson, and Chief Operating Officer; Chief Financial Officer; General Counsel; Deputy General Counsels; and FDIC staff whose responsibilities involve the supervisory, risk monitoring, and receivership/resolution planning process.Identifies complex legal and operational issues that may arise from pending legislation or gaps or ambiguities in existing law or regulation, and assists in the development of the appropriate response recognizing and addressing policy and legal concerns.Independently interprets and applies applicable statutory and regulatory guidelines in the development and assessment of policy initiatives.In conjunction with senior management of the Legal Division, the incumbent provides substantive expertise and input on GAO and Congressional inquiries, interagency matters, and FDIC correspondence.Provides leadership and counsel to the Legal Division and other FDIC Divisions and Offices on issues related to the development and interpretation of laws and regulations, supervisory and risk monitoring matters, and receivership/resolution planning and execution.Advises on proposed legislation, draft rulemakings and the incorporation of appropriate regulatory analysis consistent with applicable law and FDIC policies, and effectively develops and presents issues and materials to senior management and Board members.Represents the Legal Division or the Corporation on task forces, senior staff meetings, committees and working groups on legal aspects of corporate policy.Monitors progress towards organizational goals and periodically evaluates and makes appropriate adjustments to such goals.Reviews Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO), Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Accessibility (DEIA), employee development, and other personnel plans and programs for compliance with Corporate policy, legal requirements, and the mission of the Division; supports the development and execution of EEO and DEIA plans and programs, employee development, and other personnel programs; organizes, coordinates, and provides expertise to support the work of diverse teams of employees to provide direction, develop employee skills, and promote team work.Salary

$275,000 - $290,000/yearConditions of Employment

High Risk position - Background Investigation (BI) required.Bar Membership is required.Employee may be relocated to any duty location to meet management needs.Qualifications

Experience providing analysis and counsel related to the development and interpretation of laws and regulations, supervisory and risk monitoring matters, and receivership/resolution planning and execution.Technical Experience 3:

Experience providing representation in task forces, senior staff meetings, committees and working groups on legal aspects of Corporate policy.Basic Qualification Requirement:

License to practice before the highest court of a state, territory, commonwealth, or the District of Columbia and in good standing.Education
