Summary

This position is located in the Legal Division, Supervision, Legislation & Enforcement Branch, Enforcement Section.The Enforcement Section is responsible for legal matters relating to administrative enforcement actions brought under the Federal Deposit Insurance Act against insured depository institutions (IDIs) and institution-affiliated parties (IAPs).

Duties

Assists the Senior/Supervisory Counsel of the Enforcement Section in the development of Legal Division strategies, goals, objectives, and initiatives. Perform technical work in support of management analysis, the purpose of which is to evaluate and improve the efficiency, effectiveness, and productivity of the Enforcement Section.Identifies new initiatives and projects that improve the FDIC's enforcement processes, policies and procedures.Works across organizational boundaries to collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders, including key stakeholders in RMS and DCP, LegalWeb and the Office of Communications, to accomplish goals and objectives.Participates in data management activities to contribute to the analysis of Enforcement activities in support of the Division goals, and objectives. Collaborates with executives and managers through Legal and other divisions to achieve coordinated knowledge management necessary to fulfill the Legal Division's Mission.Creates regular and ad-hoc reports, employing data mining, consulting, analysis and reporting; communicates findings in an understandable format to stakeholders, employing multiple types of visual display (e.g., text, charts, graphs, flowcharts).Requirements

Qualifications

Qualifying experience may be obtained in the private or public sector. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic, religious/spiritual; community; student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. To qualify for the CG-14:Applicants must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the CG-13 level in the federal service.

Specialized experience is defined as 1) Analyzing data from various sources; 2) Conducting quantitative and qualitative analyses; 3) Developing data visualizations, including dashboards or reports; and 4) Advising leadership on problems related to the productivity of workforce.

There is no substitution of education for the experience for this position.

Additional information

Selectee(s) for this position will be required to report to their duty station office two days per week.
