We are collaborating with a renowned educational institution in Los Angeles that is dedicated to promoting a diverse and inclusive learning environment, empowering students to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.We are looking for a talented and experienced Controller to join their team. This role will involve managing all financial operations, including accounting and budgeting, for the school. The ideal candidate will possess a solid background in finance and accounting, strong leadership abilities, and a deep commitment to education.Responsibilities

Manage day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.Prepare and analyze financial reports, budgets, and forecasts to support strategic decision-making by senior leadership.Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and internal policies.Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to improve efficiency and internal controls.Supervise accounting staff and provide training and support as needed.Coordinate annual financial audits and tax filings.Collaborate with other departments to support financial planning and resource allocation.Monitor cash flow and investment activities to optimize financial performance.Stay current on financial trends and best practices in the education sector.Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master’s degree or CPA preferred).Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial management, preferably in a public or educational setting.Strong knowledge of public finance, government accounting, and relevant laws and regulations.Experience with budgeting, financial analysis, and reporting.Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.Salary: $170,000 - $180,000 a yearBenefits
