Job Overview – Senior Accounting Director:Join our client's expanding accounting team as the Senior Accounting Director, where you will oversee technical accounting issues and lead the adoption of new accounting standards. This strategic hybrid position involves managing complex transactions, ensuring regulatory compliance, and enhancing financial policies and controls.

Wilmington, DECompensation:
$175,000 – $190,000/year + bonusSchedule:
9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday (Hybrid)
Responsibilities as the Senior Accounting Director:
Technical Leadership:
Oversee all aspects of technical accounting, including compliance with SEC guidance and FASB standards.
Strategic Implementation:
Manage the adoption and review of new accounting standards.
Complex Transactions:
Guide the accounting treatment of complex transactions and support due diligence efforts.
Policy and Compliance:
Ensure alignment with internal controls and collaborate with auditors on accounting policies.
Operational Excellence:
Drive process improvements and policy development to enhance financial integrity and operational efficiency.
Qualifications for the Senior Accounting Director:
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Certification:
CPA is mandatory.
Experience:
10+ years in Big 4 or relevant industry accounting roles, including leadership experience.
Skills:
Expertise in US GAAP, familiarity with IFRS, and strong analytical abilities.
Professional Attributes:
Self-directed, strong communicator, and capable of handling multiple priorities.
Industry Insight:
Background in manufacturing or distribution preferred.
