Job Overview – Technical Accounting Director:Join our trusted client’s team as a Technical Accounting Director, where you will serve as the go-to expert for technical accounting issues, guiding complex transactions, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. This hybrid role will involve collaboration with various teams and providing support on technical accounting matters.Location:

$125,000 - $150,000/year + bonusSchedule:
9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday (Hybrid)Responsibilities as the Technical Accounting Director:
Technical Guidance : Serve as the point of contact for technical accounting issues, including SEC guidance and FASB standards.Implementation Coordination : Oversee the implementation of new accounting standards and review proposed standards.Complex Transactions : Provide technical accounting guidance for complex transactions and due diligence.Policy Interaction : Engage with global controllership and independent public accountants on accounting policy matters.Internal Controls : Support compliance with internal controls and address related issues with audit teams.Standard Implementation : Assist in directing the implementation of new accounting and reporting requirements.Expert Resource : Act as a technical accounting expert for business units and corporate initiatives.Process Improvement : Identify and lead process improvement initiatives for functional productivity.Policy Development : Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures in accordance with GAAP and internal management reports.Qualifications for the Technical Accounting Director:
Education : Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related technical field.Certification : CPA required.Experience : 6+ years with Big 4 or industry-related experience in an accounting policy role.Skills : Strong understanding of US GAAP and SEC Reporting (knowledge of IFRS a plus).Attributes : Excellent analytical, oral, and written skills.Teamwork : Ability to work well in teams and interact at all levels of the organization.
