provides vision, leadership, and direction of Sentara's efforts to understand value and provide the organization with the insights it needs to drive improvement. Acts as the executive knowledge leader on outcomes performance and drivers. Outcomes include Clinical measures such as mortality, complication, readmission and infection rates. Operational measures such as length of stay and hospital flow, financial measures such as encounter cost & MSPB, and Customer Experience measures such as HCAHPS. Partners with Finance as the executive analytical lead on cost accounting development, implementation, and execution. Provides leadership to and deploys resources against major improvement programs, including Clinical Appropriateness, Clinical Process Improvement, and Clinical & Cost Variation Reduction. Serves as the analytical executive relationship manager for divisional leadership, including Hospital Presidents and Vice Presidents of Medical Affairs. Supports Corporate efforts related to Sentara's outcomes and performance on a State & National level, including M&A activity, HR & compensation programs, regulatory & legislative matters. Manages our relationships with third party providers of data services, namely those that provide risk adjustment and benchmarking data.The ideal

candidate brings a mix of strong healthcare knowledge, clinical & financial acumen, a consultative client service mentality, executive presence and outstanding leadership. This leader will regularly interface with senior executives, divisional leaders, service line leaders, and key clinical leaders throughout the system. Excellent relationship development skills and a high level of credibility are critical to success in the role. Master's degree or higher is required. An exception may be made in the case of an exceptionally strong candidate with direct experience in a similar role. Masters in business administration, analytics, or information management preferred. 15 years of relevant experience required. Relevant experience includes experience in healthcare, analytics, information technology, and/or finance. At least 10 years of progressive leadership experience is required. This must include direct experience in leading analytical teams. At least 5 years of healthcare experience is required. This must include experience with organizations providing hospital-based care.
