Memory Care Director

will plan, organize, develop, and assist in directing the overall operation of the Wellness Department and ensure the delivery of the highest quality assisted living services focused on maximizing residents’ individual capabilities in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations that govern our facility, and as may be directed by the Wellness Director/Executive Director.Critical Success Factors:Plans, develops, organizes, implements, and evaluates resident care goals.Ensures that all residents receive quality care and maximize residents’ individual capabilities.Ensures that residents’ rights are well established and maintained at all times.Ensures an environment of teamwork and cooperation between resident care department employees and other departments.Maintains the confidentiality of all pertinent resident care information to ensure resident rights are protected.Assists in the development and implementation of departmental policies and procedures.Assists the Wellness Director with ensuring effective, efficient, and adequate staffing of the resident care department by creating a work schedule that meets the needs of residents 24/7, while being mindful of staffing budget.Assists the Wellness Director with ensuring that care interventions meet the personal, physical, and cognitive needs of each resident as well as maximize his/her self-care capacities, independence, choice, and opportunity for social interaction.Ensures that all applicable Human Resources policies and procedures and State and Federal employment laws and guidelines are followed by all resident care department employees.Assists the Wellness Director with ensuring that all caregivers are appropriately oriented, onboarded, and trained according to Facility policy and procedure.Assists the Wellness Director with ensuring all caregiving staff complete required training and in-services according to established timeframes.Assists the Wellness Director with ensuring all caregiving staff are routinely trained in skills relevant to proper resident care and to routinely audit and assess such skills to ensure they meet facility standards for resident care.Assists the Wellness Director with ensuring licensed care staff keep licenses current and in good standing with respective licensing authority.Assists the Wellness Director with ensuring employee and resident health and safety programs are implemented to provide a safe environment.Actively maintains cohesive public and professional relationships with residents, families, physicians, and the community.We are an equal opportunity employer.
