About the Company:Our client are a leading company in the industrial minerals sector, dedicated to innovation and growth. As they continue to expand, they are looking for a dynamic and experienced Commercial Sales Director to join their team. This role is critical in leading their sales strategies, driving revenue growth, and ensuring customer satisfaction across the minerals division.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership & Team Development:

Lead and develop a high-performing sales team, with a focus on driving results and fostering a culture of teamwork. You will be responsible for reinvigorating the team, adapting to market challenges, and preparing for future growth.

Sales Strategy & Execution:

Develop and implement sales strategies using the Miller Heiman process to increase revenue and maximize customer satisfaction. Collaborate closely with New Business Development (NBD) teams to explore new opportunities.

Customer Relationships:

Build and maintain strong relationships with customers at all levels, ensuring long-term partnerships and identifying new business opportunities.

Market Intelligence:

Stay ahead of market trends, competitive activities, and customer needs to drive strategic decisions that enhance our market position.

P&L Management:

Oversee the division’s P&L, with revenue responsibility of $220-240 million. Develop and manage annual sales budgets, forecasts, and business plans.

What We’re Looking For:

Experience:

Minimum of 10 years of proven sales leadership in industrial minerals, chemicals, or related sectors. Experience in managing large teams and significant revenue responsibilities is crucial.

Industry Knowledge:

A deep understanding of the industrial minerals sector, including market trends, customer needs, and competitive dynamics.

Leadership:

A hands-on leader with strong team-building skills, the ability to earn respect from your team, and a track record of driving change and growth.

Strategic Vision:

Ability to balance short-term operational demands with long-term strategic goals. Experience in leading change management initiatives is a plus.

Technical Background:

Preferred candidates will have a technical background, ideally with a bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g., engineering, business administration).

Travel:

Willingness to travel up to 60% of the time.
