Who we are looking for:

We are seeking a Team Member who will oversee and enhance the Bank's BSA/AML/OFAC and fraud compliance programs as the Bank continues to grow and implement new products and services.

What you'll do:

Oversee and monitor effective compliance programs aligned with current industry best practices, regulatory guidance, and compliance practices, but not limited to fraud risk management, monitoring suspicious transactions, the Customer Identification Program ("CIP"), due diligence compliance and drafting/updating policies and procedures related to BSA/AML/OFAC compliance.Direct BSA and fraud staff in the course of their daily work regarding monitoring and reporting, ensuring staff is fulfilling all required functions in a timely, efficient, and effective manner in a demanding environment that is continuing to grow and scale.Conduct BSA/AML/OFAC risk assessments and fraud-related risk assessments as needed with consideration given to products, services, customers, and geographies that may present BSA/AML/OFAC related risk; periodic reporting to management and the Board of Directors.Oversee the transaction monitoring system, updating parameters where necessary.Maintain collaborative relationships with business units to ensure appropriate BSA/AML/OFAC risks and red flags are identified and communicated prior to implementation of new/changed products and services.Coordinate with the Enterprise Risk Management ("ERM") and the Training Department to ensure appropriate BSA/AML/OFAC compliance training for applicable staff throughout the Bank.Coordinate appropriate training for BSA Department staff to maintain a high level of knowledge of BSA/AML/OFAC compliance.Partner with auditors/examiners during compliance audits/examinations.Provide ERM leadership with periodic status reports to determine the extent of compliance and operating efficiencies.Perform special projects and additional duties and responsibilities, as required, and directed by ERM leadership. Advise stakeholders of emerging risks, new or amended laws, regulations, or agency guidance; recommend and implement changes and controls to mitigate risks, including those posed by any third-party relationships.

What you'll need to be successful:

Success in this job relies on your time management skills, organization, and positive attitude. In addition, you'll need the following qualifications:

Bachelor's degree required or commensurate work experience.Minimum 10 years' relevant experience in the financial services industry in BSA/AML related capacity or as a consultant or regulator, with at least two years in a senior leadership compliance role.Extensive understanding of all BSA/AML/OFAC laws, regulations, and guidance.The position will require 5+ years of experience leading and managing a team.Ability to understand, interpret, convey, and implement the requirements of applicable laws and regulations.Strong leader who displays the ability to supervise and provide direction to staff, delegate responsibilities appropriately and prioritize assignments.Exhibit the ability to work both independently and in a collaborative environment.Strong analytical capability and ability to identify potential concerns, recommend operational improvements to management and initiate action.Excellent communication (verbal and written), organizational, and follow-up skills.Proficient in transaction monitoring systems, as well as Microsoft Office Suite software, including but not limited to Word, Excel, and Outlook.Deep understanding of the financial services industry.Demonstrated ability to build and lead an effective, cohesive, and collaborative team.Experienced in executive, board, and regulatory level reporting, in addition to managing regulatory expectations within financial services.Strong focus and record of execution.Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization while being able to simplify complex topics for understanding and critical decision-making.Ability to organize, prioritize, and lead multiple deliverables simultaneously.Strong intellectual curiosity to expand knowledge.
