Epic Travel Staffing is hiring a Travel – Mammography Tech
Shift:
Days / 7:30a-2p (8×5) 40 hours per week
Length:
13 weeks
Requirements:
1 year experience
Graduation from high school or equivalent and completion of a training program in imaging technology from an accredited school
BLS
Completion of a formal radiologic technology training program and hold current certification by ARRT in Radiography
ARRT advanced level certification in mammography with documentation of clinical experience, or MQSA qualified and (M) registry eligible
2 years of experience in Mammography preferred
Experience with diagnostic procedures such as ultrasound core and stereotactic biopsies is preferred
Others:
Accepting First Time Travelers
Knowledge of database software, RIS/PACS software and eRad is preferred
Prior quality control experience preferred
The Mammography Technologist operates x-ray equipment and performs a variety of mammography-related diagnostic procedures. Individual must maintain a high degree of accuracy in positioning and exposure technique. This position is critical to Washington Radiology; by providing outstanding care and efficient results, the technologist impacts the profitability of the organization as well as the patient experience.
Mammography Skills / Procedures / Experience:
Digital – Required
3D – Required
Two years of experience in Mammography preferred
Will accept less than 2 years experience and 1st time travelers
Knowledge of database software, RIS/PACS software and eRad is preferred
Experience with diagnostic procedures such as ultrasound core and stereotactic biopsies is preferred
Prior quality control experience preferred
Ability to read, write, and comprehend medical terminology
Ability to stand for long periods of time
REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES:
BLS

Current on all required continuing education and continuing experience as required by MQSA and ARRT
