Senior Litigation Attorney

A law firm in Los Gatos is seeking a Senior Litigation Attorney. The attorney will be responsible for managing all aspects of cases, from intake to conclusion. This includes meeting with clients, drafting pleadings, conducting legal research, making court appearances, negotiating settlements, and handling family law matters. The ideal candidate will possess excellent academic credentials, strong work ethic, and exceptional communication skills.Duties:Handle cases from intake through conclusionMeet with clients to discuss legal matters and provide guidanceDraft pleadings, motions, agreements, and other legal documentsAdminister depositions and conduct witness interviewsPropound and respond to discovery requestsConduct legal research and analysisMake court appearances and argue motionsParticipate in trials, mediations, and arbitrationsNegotiate settlements with opposing partiesHandle family law cases as neededPerform other activities requested by partnersRequirements:Licensed attorney in the state of California6-26 years of experience as a licensed attorneyExcellent academic credentialsStrong work ethic and reliabilityDetail-oriented with strong drafting and negotiating skillsAbility to communicate legal subject matter to non-attorneysExcellent analytical and problem-solving skillsBusiness judgment and strategic legal thinkingCourtroom experience preferredKnowledge of the Code of Civil ProcedureEducation:Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree from an accredited law schoolCertifications:Licensed attorney in the state of CaliforniaSkills:Legal drafting and negotiating skillsStrong communication and interpersonal skillsAnalytical and problem-solving abilitiesKnowledge of the Code of Civil Procedure
