Employment Law Associate Attorney

A law firm located in Los Angeles is seeking a skilled and dedicated Employment Law Associate Attorney to join its team. The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years of experience in employment law litigation, including handling arbitrations, court appearances, depositions, pretrial motions, and all aspects of litigation from inception to settlement or verdict. The role requires experience in drafting various pleadings and complex motions, with a strong focus on civil litigation in the employment law field.Duties:Handle a range of employment law litigation cases, from inception through to settlement or trial.Represent clients in court appearances, including depositions, hearings, and arbitrations.Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and settlement agreements.Conduct thorough legal research to support case strategies and arguments.Prepare and present arguments for pretrial motions and other litigation-related matters.Collaborate with senior attorneys to develop case strategies and provide effective legal representation.Manage case files efficiently, ensuring all deadlines and legal requirements are met.Provide clients with expert legal advice and updates on case progress.Requirements:1-3 years of experience in employment law litigation, including handling arbitrations.Experience with civil litigation, including court appearances, depositions, and pretrial motions.Proven ability to handle litigation matters from inception to settlement or trial.Experience drafting various pleadings and complex motions is preferred.Education:Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.Strong academic credentials are preferred.Certifications:Admission to the California State Bar.Skills:Strong analytical and research skills.Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.Proficiency in drafting legal documents and motions.Ability to manage multiple cases and work effectively under pressure.Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with senior attorneys and clients.Experience in handling arbitrations and presenting cases effectively.
