Join us.You will be an integral part of the USDS Cyber Defense & Engineering team, responsible for enhancing security tools, identifying vulnerabilities, and comprehending the intricacies of our people and data within USDS. Collaborating cross-functionally with partners within and outside TikTok, our objective is to fortify our products and users' security, aiming to establish TikTok as the most trusted platform.We are seeking a versatile, forward-thinking, and outcome-driven Data Analyst to propel our projects forward. In this capacity, you will engage with diverse technical and non-technical teams across various regions, contributing to the tracking and development of various initiatives aimed at crafting innovative solutions to complex technical challenges. This role offers an exciting prospect.The ideal candidate will possess demonstrated problem-solving abilities, sound business acumen, and a track record of collaborating with multiple teams to successfully deliver projects. They should exhibit a genuine passion for safeguarding the security and privacy of our users.In order to enhance collaboration and cross-functional partnerships, among other things, at this time, our organization follows a hybrid work schedule that requires employees to work in the office 3 days a week, or as directed by their manager/department. We regularly review our hybrid work model, and the specific requirements may change at any time.ResponsibilitiesLeading the data analysis function end-to-end (from requirements to report/dashboard delivery). This includes upfront requirements gathering, followed by detailed data analysis, identification of data sources, creation of schema diagrams, and metrics calculations.Data processing and data quality validation to ensure the best possible data insights are driving the solutions.Build data pipelines, optimize ETL processes, ensure data integrity, and find opportunities to add efficiency and automation to everyday tasks.Partner with a wide range of stakeholders both within Technology and also with cross-functional teams.Working in ambiguous situations to understand the requirements and design the best methodology for extraction of data.Generate actionable insights from data for partners to grow and help support them to drive better and faster decision making.QualificationsMinimum Qualifications:At least 3-5 years of proven experience as a Data Analyst, Data science or Data engineering.Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Statistics, Data Science, Economics, Computer Science)Strong proficiency in data visualisation tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) and data analysis tools (e.g., Python, R)Excellent SQL skills for data extraction and manipulationStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsStrong technical skills to automate data pipelines for building dashboardsAbility to work effectively in a cross-functional team environmentPreferred Qualifications:Great communication and presentation skillsTo succeed in the role, you need to be a proactive, self-driven and impact driven personExperience in cyber security is preferredTikTok is committed to creating an inclusive space where employees are valued for their skills, experiences, and unique perspectives. As such, this role will be subject to strict national security-related screening.Job Information:For Pay TransparencyThe base salary range for this position in the selected city is $106400 - $177777 annually. Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location.
