ResponsibilitiesRiverView Recovery Center has an opening for a full-time Treatment Director. The Director is responsible for day-to-day operations of the service line, including documentation, billing procedures, and compliance with MN 245G statutes. The position is also responsible for oversight of all CD clinical services including but not limited to:

Facilitation of group therapy

Facilitation of individual therapy

Comprehensive assessments

Participation in clinical staffing

Facilitation of recreational therapy

Presentation of educational lectures

Crisis management

Family counseling

Case management

This position will need to develop and maintain positive relationships with appropriate referral sources. The Director will display clinical competency in the 12 core counseling functions: screening, intake, orientation, assessment, treatment planning, counseling, case management, crisis intervention, client education, referral, reports & record keeping, and consultation with other professionals. Additionally, the Director will educate clients on resources and opportunities in the community which provide assistance for their needs, collaborate with the client, referents, providers, etc., to provide an appropriate discharge plan for the client, and display the ability to access and utilize electronic records to document client activity/behavior and accurately complete reports required for statistical purposes in the state of Minnesota (i.e., DAANES).

The Director will interact with clients in a positive manner, maintaining strict ethical boundaries with all clients, both current and past. This includes the ability to verbally de-escalate crisis situations, project empathy and respect toward clients, refrain from expressing any judgments or assumptions about clients, and monitor and respond when necessary to clients’ verbal and non-verbal communications.

This position will report to the Chief Operating Officer.

Qualifications

Required: Bachelor’s degree in chemical dependency or equivalent experience.

Experience supervising counseling staff for 2 years.

Must be free from "problematic substance abuse" for one to two years.

Must possess or be qualified to receive licensure from the Minnesota Board of Behavioral Health (BBHT) as a Licensed Addiction Counselor. Maintain a current license in the state of Minnesota to provide direct clinical services with renewal occurring biannually.

Must be American Heart CPR and First Aid certified. If not currently certified, training will be provided.

Preferred: In addition to LADC, Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC).

Preferred: 2 years’ experience in behavioral healthcare, human services, or other related field.

Preferred: 2 years’ experience providing direct clinical services to individuals with an SUD in either a residential or outpatient level of care.

Preferred: Experience developing and facilitating co-occurring treatment services.
