Summary:

In 2024, Ohio is a frontline battleground state with competitive races up and down the ballot. Ohio must re-elect Senator Sherrod Brown in what will be the nation’s top targeted race in 2024, determining the control of the US Senate. This year will also offer the chance to take control of the Ohio Supreme Court, make gains in the state legislature, and defend three battleground congressional seats.The Deputy Coordinated Director will be a fundamental role of the Senior Leadership Team and will support the overall work of the Coordinated Campaign Director and the interdepartmental work of each Department. They will support management of Coordinated Partners, build and execute cross departmental meetings and accountability structures, and ensure the success of our program both quantitatively and qualitatively. This position is full time and based in Columbus, Ohio.Support the implementation of the 2024 Coordinated Campaign Strategic Imperatives and ProgramsFacilitate cross departmental project management, ensuring all HQ departments work effectively and deliver projects within a timely mannerCreate systems and communication structures to optimize performance and consistently meet cross departmental goalsSupport the management, relationship building, and communication structures of Table Partners associated with the Coordinated CampaignOwn the GOTV program creation process and hold the team accountable to weekly deliverables through the planning, delivery, and execution of the mobilization programCoach Coordinated Campaign Directors and teams to improve programming, tighten operations, and add additional accountability and support to various departments and focuses of the campaignMotivate a large statewide team to flourish in a fast-paced and rigorous work environmentPreferred Skills & Qualifications:At least 4 cycles of campaign experience, with a strong preference for at least 2 cycles of experience in either a Deputy or Director role on a statewide electoral programExperience managing staff through multiple layers, including those in unions, is requiredExcellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skillsProven fluency with NGP VAN and other crucial data and digital outreach infrastructureCapacity to create and oversee advanced internal tracking systemsAttention to detail, highly-developed organizational skills, and the ability to collaborate with stakeholders across all levels of our organizationCommitment to electing Democrats up and down the ticket in OhioThe salary for this role is $9,500 per month and full benefits including PTO as needed, health, dental, and voluntary vision insurance. This position’s schedule will vary based on the needs of the campaign and is likely to require evening and weekend work over the course of the election cycle.
