SABIC’s international transactions should comply with all customs & other agencies that govern import and exports for the US, Mexico & Canada.Lead process development for operations or projects as a Subject Matter Expert with internal SABIC functions like Supply-Chain, Legal, Finance, IT and others, as needed to ensure set up and execution of compliant transactions.Maintain regular oversight of imports and exports to/from US, Canada and Mexico, free trade, drawback, reconciliation, and other customs-related and trade activities.Manage foreign trade permits, import licenses, import regulatory requirements, through the Unique Foreign Trade Portal in Mexico.Oversee the IMMEX program and VAT Certification in Mexico.Manage CARM- SABIC Canada CBSA payment processing.Accurately classify products and determine free trade eligibility for imports and exports in accordance with the global HS and US HTSUS, as needed.Use Customs Portal to submit chemical specific quarterly reports.Ensure timely and accurate documentation filing and document retention in accordance with regulations both virtually and physically.Develop regular communications, internal controls manual, standard operating procedures (SOP’s), and develop and deliver training for Supply-Chain, Business Unit and Sales in particular, to ensure awareness of changing regulations and processes to effectively and legally conduct cross border transactions.Act as a Power User to ensure compliant access for Trade Process authorizations.Direct 3rd Party Customs Brokers that manage imports and exports to US, Mexico & Canada. Ensure annual contract management, establish and monitor KPIs, ensure timely and accurate payments. Audit Customs Broker fees and freight forwarding payment, issue PR, PO and SES in SAP and request approval to management.What Matters to SABICBachelor’s degree, in business, supply chain/logistics, industrial engineering, international trade, or economics.5+ years of supply chain, logistics or trade operations experience in a global business, or freight forwarder.Import & Export Certifications and Licenses (desired).Experience maintaining and operating SAP GTS (Desired).Licensed Customs Broker (LCB), Certified Export Specialist (CES), Certified Customs Specialist (CCS), and/or relevant International Trade Certification (CUSECO, USICO, CITM, IATA etc.) desired.Knowledge of the U.S, Canada, and Mexico, Import & Export Regulations.Prior experience with C-TPAT (desired).Knowledge of trade documentation, classification of goods and technology, valuation, country of origin, duty preference programs, denied party screening and boycott or sanctioned country restrictions, Incoterms etc.Eligibility RequirementsYou must submit your application for employment online to be considered.
