MPP, At-Will, Fundraising & Alumni Relations, Full Time, On-siteJob SummaryThe Assistant Vice President for Development, Colleges and Units will be responsible for providing leadership, direction, and overseeing fundraising productivity for all colleges and units on campus. The incumbent will collaborate with Development Officers to foster a team approach in cultivating individual prospects and will carry a portfolio of major and principal gift level donors/prospects. This position will actively fundraise on behalf of the University to create breakthroughs in philanthropy and work with lead gift officers and their teams to enhance college/unit development operations.Department SummaryThe University Development and Alumni Engagement (UDAE) Division fosters strong relationships with internal and external partners while enhancing support for Cal Poly. UDAE implements an overall advancement program that includes alumni and parent engagement, community outreach, coordinated fundraising efforts, donor relations, and more. Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion are core values at Cal Poly, and UDAE is committed to supporting systemic evolution toward these values.Key QualificationsDemonstrated ability to set achievable goals and drive successful execution of key programs.Ability to design, plan, and manage comprehensive fundraising plans.Skilled leader who can inspire and lead day-to-day operations.Ability to demonstrate sound judgment and multi-task in a complex university setting.Expertise in all phases of fundraising.Education and ExperienceBachelor’s degree and eight (8) years of progressively responsible experience in fundraising, with at least five (5) years of managerial experience.Licenses, Certificates, CredentialsPossession of a valid driver’s license or the ability to obtain by date of hire.Salary and BenefitsThe anticipated hiring range for this role is $155,000 - $215,000 annually.
