SUMMARY

Plans and administers sales policies and programs to foster and promote hotel patronage by performing the following duties

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Develops and maintains marketing plan and sales budget with the General ManagerProvides sales training to staff of hotel as applicableAnalyzes Revenue Management strategy using such tools as Star Reports, demand analysis and applicable front office systemsSchedules sales appointmentsConducts a required amount of cold callsOrganizes, maintains, and tracks sales dataCompletes requests of General Manager and other management personnel, as applicablePerforms functions of General Manager in General Manager’s absenceAll other duties as assignedCOMPETENCY

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

One-year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE ABILITY

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or peers.

MATH ABILITY

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, and percentages.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

COMPUTER SKILLS

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of word processing software; spreadsheet software and internet
