Mechanical Designer
The Mechanical Designer is responsible for applying engineering principles through planning and development of tools, methods, processes, and equipment that maximize quality of the final product in the most effective, efficient, and economic way possible. Creating bills of materials and specification for existing products and generators. Creating and revising bills of materials and drawings for generators.R
esponsibilities and DutiesCreate, interpret, and/or disseminate engineering documentation such as bills of materials, routers, submittals, detail drawings and revisions, and installation instructions as appropriate.Solve problems concerning the interpretation of drawings, manufacturing methods, and material requirements. Interface with design engineering, marketing, manufacturing, and purchasing teams to provide a competitive advantage in quality, innovation, and serviceAdheres to, communicates, and maintains standard processes, procedures, and policiesParticipates in special projects as requiredFlexibility to adapt to deadlines, changing schedules, priorities, and unpredictable events within a fast-paced manufacturing environmentCommunicates thoughts, ideas, information, and messages in a logical, organized, and coherent manner. Ideas are well developed with supporting information and examples.Breaks down information into fundamental parts using a systematic approach.Makes decisions methodically.Considers multiple solutions and handles obstacles.Ability to work independently as well as part collaboratively in a team.Aid in Lean Manufacturing Kaizen events & Continuous Improvement related tasks.Other duties as assigned.Qualifications
Associates degree in Mechanical Design or currently pursuing the degree with concentration in drafting/design.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Technical aptitude and familiarity with manufacturing processes.Proficient with ERP systems, 3D Modeling/ CAD, Microsoft office and other software as required on a project basis.Effective communicationPromote teamwork and foster a great team environment.Ability to learn new process and procedures.Willingness to adapt to different work situations.Strong attention to detail and accuracy.Excellent problem-solving skills.Quality minded.Dependable.JOB TYPE:
