The Doctor of Physical Therapy Program at Lincoln Memorial University is searching for an
adjunct faculty
member who will contribute to the Program’s mission. The ideal applicant will be a clinician and/or faculty member specializing in
physical therapy rehabilitation, patient management, and/or adjunctive rehabilitation interventions , have college and/or clinical teaching experience, and demonstrate evidence of professional service.Required Qualifications:ABPTS Board Certified Specialist in any fieldAdditional relevant certificationsAcademic doctorate (PhD, EdD, ScD, DHSc, etc.) in relevant fieldPreferred Qualifications:Doctorate in Physical Therapy degree (DPT) or BSPT/MSPT OR Master’s or Doctoral degree in relevant fieldStrong organizational skills and interpersonal skillsDemonstrated commitment to cultural diversity, equity, and inclusionAbility to work independently, but demonstrated ability to collaborate with an interdisciplinary teamStrong commitment to student learning and successPhysical Demands:Campus:
LMU-KnoxvilleJob Duties:Promote the mission of Lincoln Memorial University to all faculty, staff, students, and to the community at large.Promote effective working relationships among faculty, staff, and students.Promote by precept and example a general atmosphere within LMU-DCOM of respect for knowledge, thought, and inquiry.Deliver lectures utilizing the latest body of knowledge and evidence.Prepare examination questions as requested.Meet with course directors as needed and deliver lecture(s) according to published schedule.Commit to working in a professional multicultural environment that fosters diversity.Serve as an example to learners and colleagues of appropriate professional behavior.Demonstrate and supervise students during clinical educational activities utilizing standardized patients and/or volunteer patients.Supervise students during authorized and approved patient care events including health fairs, sports physicals, or community outreach programs.Complete CAPTE accreditation documents as requested.Attend Program meetings related to accreditation as needed.Posting Number:
