Charlotte, North Carolina, USAWe are seeking a dynamic and experienced Technical Business Development Manager to drive the growth of our hot melt adhesives product line for Clariant's Adsorbents and Additives business unit. This role involves developing new business opportunities, managing key accounts, and providing technical expertise to customers. They will coordinate with various functions within the business to support and implement global marketing strategies. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in adhesives, particularly hot melt technology, and a proven track record in business development. The Business Development team is a diverse group that works together to tackle challenges and foster opportunities that will contribute to business growth in a complex, international, and fast-paced environment. Responsibilities* Understand and support the execution of the Adhesives Strategic Initiatives to drive profitable business growth in new markets

* Develop new projects with target customers and prospects

* Drive innovation projects according to the idea-to-market process, using Orchestra iPPM tools

* Collect customer feedback and report learnings to support strategy developments and value propositions

* Utilize Clariant's global application labs and resources to develop and test new offerings to support customer application development projects

* Support the articulation of value proposition in marketing communications i.e. customer presentations, literature, etc.

* Prepare and present papers and lectures at conferences, events, fairs, and online webinars

* Evaluate and assess market and technology trends with the Global Market Manager

* Ensure local product developments and needs are adequately considered in global segment strategies

* Evaluate the product portfolio and propose changes based on market needs, trends, and competitor offerings

* Coordinate with the Sales team to strategically engage customers in various segments, industries, and regions

* Deliver value propositions and initiate customer projects to gain approval and commercial adoption

Requirements* Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field

* 3 - 5 years of experience with hot melt adhesive formulations

* Fluency in English and German preferred; Spanish is also a plus

* 20-30% travel required with some international customer travel

* Must be able to communicate effectively with customers to uncover unmet needs, present value propositions, and identify new opportunities

* Must be self-motivated with good project management skills
