If so, we invite you to join our team at Lucas Meyer Cosmetics as a Senior Sales Manager where you will be responsible for overseeing the sales operations and strategic planning for the East Coast Region.

This role will support the Lucas Meyer Cosmetics (LMC) Portfolio for our Care Chemicals business unit in New Providence, NJ. Lucas Meyer develops, manufactures, and markets innovative ingredients for the cosmetic and personal care industry. Their product portfolio consists of unique, value-added innovative ingredients supported by rigorous scientific research, and are manufactured in compliance with the highest standards. You will play a pivotal role in driving sales for the Lucas Meyer Cosmetics portfolio and expanding our market presence in the North American region. This position is a hybrid opportunity for a tenured and ambitious professional looking for an exciting opportunity to make an impact in the cosmetics industry.

Responsibilities

This role requires a dynamic and experienced professional who can manage a sales team, develop and maintain relationships with key clients, and drive sales growthAbility to lead, mentor, and motivate a team of 5 sales professional to achieve individual and team sales goalsConduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback and coachingMonitor sales performance, analyse sales data, and utilize CRM to track progress, maintain updated view of the sales opportunity pipeline to identify areas for improvementFoster a collaborative and results-oriented team culture; effectively lead and motivate team effortUtilize Data-driven decision making skills and deliver excellent client relationship managementMonitor market trends and industry developments to identify business opportunities in targeted markets to drive growth and enhance the company's competitive positioningBuild and maintain strong relationships with key accounts by understanding their needs and providing tailored solutionsOversee sales operations, including forecasting, budgeting, and reportingCollaborate with other departments, such as Marketing, Formulation, R&D, and Customer Service to ensure alignment and support for sales initiatives and identifying business opportunitiesPromote LMC Portfolio by acquiring expertise on active ingredients and liaise with departmentsProvide visit reports and update account informationEnhance LMC's position within each corporate account using consultative and in-depth selling at all levels within the accountMaintain a clear sales opportunity pipelineCoordinate with regional team for effective customer serviceParticipate in industry events, trade shows, and conferences to network and promote LMC's offeringsRequirements

The ideal candidate will have a sufficient background in sales management, a deep understanding of the personal care industry (especially with actives), and excellent leadership skillsA Bachelor's degree is required; specialization in Chemistry, Biology, Business, or Marketing is a plusAn ideal candidate will posses a minimum of 7 years of experience within the cosmetics and personal care industry along with an established customer network on the East CoastProven track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals and expectationsWhat's in it for you?
