With respect, we embrace differences to create an inclusive environment for all.Job Description:The Lead Tutor will need to work with the other head tutor to:Hire para and peer tutors to support STEM classes.Participate in and/or lead weekly tutor training and provide mentoring to tutors on managing their tutoring caseloads.Review and check accuracy of STEM Center usage, including, but not limited to, tutoring appointments and no-shows.Coordinate and participate in the training of STEM Center Tutors and Supplemental Instruction (SI) Leaders.Help to create and edit STEM Center documents.Reach out to faculty about tutor-supported classes.Facilitate data collection about the tutoring program.Book new tutoring appointments.Send confirmation emails to students/tutors when new appointments are booked.Act as the initial point of contact for students entering the STEM center (work at the front desk area).Develop and execute intervention plans for complex tutoring cases.Collaborate with off-campus resources to provide tutors and/or students with additional supports.Collaborate with other academic support services on campus including the Writing Center, Supplemental Instruction, Student Success Center, and TRIO to streamline and coordinate student resources.Create and edit tutor logs, tutoring request forms, and tutor training materials.Work collaboratively with other STEM staff for large-scale events and in support of the tutoring program.Lead Tutor may perform the regular duties of a tutor including:Meet with and tutor students.Keep a log of tutoring appointments and no-shows.Reschedule appointments with students.Communicate with STEM Center Staff.Requirements:

Highly motivated and self-directed with the ability to deliver in a high-paced environment.Ability to manage multiple projects at the same time and to meet deadlines.Ability to handle sensitive information appropriately.Strong attention to detail.Experience with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace applications.Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal skills required.Demonstrated ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with a diverse community of faculty, staff, and students.Preferred Qualifications:
