IT Technician (Integrated Shipboard Network System - ISNS)
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Provide technical support, system testing, inspections and assessments to assess, inspect and correct system faults within all variants of ISNS AN/USQ- 153, including associated equipment.Identify and correct anomalies associated with installation, operation, maintenance and connectivity problems.Provide onboard maintenance training to ship's force technicians in the operation, repair, maintenance and logistics support of ISNS.Assist Ship's Force technicians and government personnel at assigned locations to analyze and resolve malfunctions detected during equipment operation and test.Observe/conduct equipment checks, note condition and parameters for any out of specification readings or settings, as requested.Conduct technical oversight of corrective maintenance actions.Provide effective written and verbal communication and strives for continuous improvement.Develop technical/engineering data for Planned Maintenance Systems, technical manuals, trouble-shooting procedures, drawing updates, operation procedures, and maintainability improvements.Provide on the job training to Ships Force during any shipboard evolutions.Suggest equipment/system engineering changes toward improving quality and reliability and to facilitate installation, maintenance and repair.Perform other duties as assigned.Active Secret Security Clearance or ability to obtain/maintain one (U.S. Citizenship required)QualificationsCandidates must possess the following professional experience and qualifications:
A minimum of 5 years hands-on experience in the troubleshooting, assessment and repair of the following systems. Experience shall have been gained with the last 3 years:
AN/USQ-153COMPOSE 3.5COMPOSE 4.0AN/UYQ-96 Computer Network Defense - CNDAN/USQ-208 Consolidated Afloat Network and Enterprise Services - CANES
Experience in the troubleshooting, repair and assessment on the following systems/equipment:
VMWARE 3.5/4.0EMC Storage DeviceIBM Blade CentersCrystal ServersAlcatel 7700/6850/9700 Switches
