Compensation And Benefits

This is a full time position based in San Francisco, CA, with a salary range between $70k-100k per year. Actual compensation offered will depend on work experience, education, skill level, and/or other business and organizational needs. Please note that it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range. Pronto reserves the right to modify this compensation range at any time.

We are hiring for a lead technician to help us scale our manufacturing operations. We are looking for someone who can help assemble both prototype and production hardware including custom computers and cable harnesses. We envision this person gaining a big picture view of our hardware stack and helping to bring organization to our current operation. This will include keeping track of inventory and reordering both custom and off-the-shelf parts. This role is a little bit of everything as we grow and scale the business with lots of avenues for growth and development. This is a full time in-person opportunity.

Roles and Responsibilities

Assemble custom computers for autonomous vehiclesBuild prototype cable harnessesRun a PCB assembly line (previous experience not required)Load software and firmware onto custom build devicesManage our shop space, where assembly of production parts happens, keeping the space clean and organizedMaintain a well stocked supply of both custom and off the shelf partsWork with the engineering team and vendors to reorder partsWork closely with mechanical and electrical engineering teams to assemble prototypes and final production partsAssemble and package kits for shipping to customer sitesMonitor quality of finished product and alert engineering team to potential assembly or design issuesMaintain tool crib and perform basic machine maintenanceAbility to handle many simultaneous projects and tasksWillingness and ability to learn new fabrication and assembly techniques

Qualifications

Previous work experience in hardware assembly or fabrication (1-2 years minimum)Experience working with fast paced engineering teams and unstructured environmentsGood written and verbal communication and computer skills (Google Suite, Excel)Command line or Linux experience a plusInventory management experience is a plusAction orientedExtremely organizedMechanically inclinedAttention to detail
