Location: Minneapolis, MinnesotaJob ID: 2024-8911Type: Regular# of Openings: 1Category: Finance & Accounting* Please note this is a hybrid role based out of our office in downtown Minneapolis, MN *We are a dynamic, fast-paced organization with consistently demonstrated growth, including internationally, and are seeking an experienced leader to join our team as Director, Global Tax. Reporting directly to the VP Finance and Corporate Controller, the Director, Global Tax will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our global tax strategy, planning, and compliance.This pivotal role requires a seasoned strategic thinker with deep technical expertise in domestic and international tax law and regulations, as well as strong leadership skills to manage diverse internal and external teams across different jurisdictions. The Director is responsible for developing and implementing the Company’s corporate tax strategy and seeking out international and domestic tax planning opportunities.The Day-to-Day:Develop and execute comprehensive global tax strategies aligned with the company's financial goals and regulatory requirements, while also reducing administrative burden.Ensure timely and accurate preparation and filing of all tax returns and related documentation across multiple jurisdictions.Manage tax audits and inquiries from tax authorities globally, working closely with legal counsel and external advisors as needed.Conduct thorough tax due diligence and strategic guidance on mergers, acquisitions, and other business transactions to optimize tax outcomes and identify key risks or exposures.Provide visionary leadership to the tax team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.Minimum Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.Minimum 12 years of relevant experience with at least 5 years management experience.Demonstrated strong leadership experience (formal or informal).Excellent organizational, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.Strong oral and written communication skills.Experience managing third-party vendors.Proven competence with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).Nice to haves:Master's degree in Taxation preferred.Experience with ERP systems preferred.Experience with tax provision and compliance software desired.SPS Commerce offers a comprehensive package of benefits including health, dental, vision, disability, and life insurance, paid time-off, 401(k), health and flexible spending accounts, stock purchase plan and more.* EOE including disability / veteran *
