Retina Consultants, P.C. is a thriving, fully physician-owned, retina-only private practice, with over 60,000 patient visits annually at our 5 office locations in central Connecticut.We are seeking a fellowship-trained vitreoretinal specialist to join our practice in 2025. The applicant must be ABO-certified/eligible, eligible to work in the US, and qualified to obtain a CT State medical license.Our practice has been well established in central Connecticut for over 45 years. We are the only retina specialty practice in Hartford county and the largest retina specialty practice in the state. Each of our 5 office locations is equipped with state-of-the-art equipment including Heidelberg OCT, Optos cameras, Ellex ultrasound and lasers, MDI Intellesys EMR, etc. Our doctors are supported by about 80 outstanding and experienced employees, including scribes, technicians, angiographers, site managers, a full-time surgical coordinator, and a variety of other support staff. Vitreoretinal surgery is performed at 2 private ASCs and hospital-based outpatient surgery department, all of which are fully equipped with the Alcon Constellation vitrectomy platform.Our practice is home to 7 retina specialists who trained at some of the most prestigious fellowships in the country. We pride ourselves in being a regional center of excellence, providing our patients with comprehensive, high-quality medical and surgical care for all retinal conditions, including ocular oncology, uveitis, inherited retinal degeneration, and pediatric retina. Our physicians maintain academic affiliations with UConn and Yale, have served in leadership roles at all major regional health systems, and have become owners in two highly productive ophthalmic ASCs. We recently established a clinical research program with dedicated research coordinator and a certified clinical trial suite located at our Manchester office. We are involved in multiple NIH-funded and industry-sponsored clinical trials and associates will have the opportunity to become investigators in our clinical research program.Hartford is located halfway between New York City and Boston, close to both New England mountains and coastline.We are seeking a conscientious, hard-working physician with an interest in becoming a partner in our practice. Candidates with strong surgical training and/or a subspecialty interest in ocular oncology, uveitis, or pediatric retina are strongly encouraged to apply.
