Accounting Supervisor - AR & Voyage Reconciliation

The Sr. Accountant – AR and Voyage Reconciliation Supervisor is responsible for monthly accruals related to concessionaire expenses, reconciling monthly sales postings, reconciliation of assigned balance sheet accounts and assisting with the year-end financial audit, recording VAT, GST and Customs/duties in various countries. This position is also responsible for supervising the AR and Voyage Reconciliation team.
What you’ll be doing:ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Sales Posting and Voyage Reconciliation
Supervise and manage the Sales posting and Cruise Line Receivable process
Ensure Voyages are submitted timely and report on late postings
Reconciles sales data transmitted from assigned vessels by voyage
Reconciles and approve adjustments due at month end for voyages
Sets up new accounts and make changes if necessary to update information regarding ship accounts, voyage ledger, and vessel data
Coordinates with Accounting Analyst to solve any discrepancies
Support Voyage reconciliation team with any adjustments to sales postings and maintenance of Dump SKU’s
Reviews itineraries, coordinates taxable voyages and align with third party tax specialist for any changes in itineraries that may impact tax reporting for the company
Improving all department procedures to increase accuracy and efficiency
Accounts Receivable
Oversee the Cruise Line Accounts Receivable to ensure payments are received and posted in accordance with contractual terms
Timely follow up and escalation on any past due payments.
Ensure payments and adjustments are reconciled and posted timely and accurately
Ensure proper and timely billing to the Cruise Lines related to Misc. Billings
Track customer service refunds to ensure Cruise Lines submits refunds in a timely manner.
Month End and Year End Closing Process
Calculation of month end concession expenses – minimums, overrides and profit share
Reconcilement of scorecards from Cruise Line partners
Monthly sales reconciliations
Analysis of all assigned monthly balance sheet reconciliations
Participation of audit year end process and budget for assigned accounts
Adjustments to PAX as reported by Cruise Lines
Communicating with Cruise Line partners on timely billing and reporting on contract requirements.
Improving processes to make recommendations on process improvements
Vendor Management and Shipboard Payroll
Maintain and participate in the creation or maintenance of Vendors
Participate and process as needed on the Shipboard bi-weekly payroll
What we’re looking for:QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and Experience:
3-5 Years of experience preferred
Bachelor's Degree Required
Experience with Accounts Receivable and supervising experience is a plus.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: Some flexibility in hours is permitted, employee must be available during the “core” work hours of 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday – Friday and must work 30 hours each week to maintain full-time status. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
Physical Demands:
Office environment with frequent sitting, walking and standing, occasional climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching and balancing. Frequent use of eye, hand and finger coordination enabling use of office machinery. This position requires the ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies, up to 20 pounds. Oral and auditory enabling interpersonal communication as well as communication automated devise such as the telephone.
