Authentica serves K12 school districts, K12ucation - Universities and Colleges, Departments and Ministries of Education, Education Software Providers (EdTech), System Integrators, and Strategic Partners.ResponsibilitiesAs the Vice President of Sales, you will be a key leader driving our growth and impact throughout the Authentica Solutions portfolio. A key factor for success in this role at our early stage business is willingness to roll up the sleeves, work alongside an amazing team, and be creative every day. As we build our sales team from the ground up, this role offers a unique opportunity to shape our go-to-market strategy and build a high-performing team from scratch. You'll have the autonomy to implement best practices and innovative approaches, making a significant impact on our growth trajectory. While serving as the key leader across the sales team, you will also desire to deliver new sales across the direct and channel markets. This is a leader and team player role where leading by example delivers across our expectations.Your Role Will IncludeBringing existing relationships, connections, partners, and strategic clients into consideration for the Authentica seed solution.Engaging with co-sale peers, partners, resellers, and lead generation partners to accelerate our growth in the market.Providing sales leadership and strategy development for the market.Design, Develop and adapt growth-based sales playbooks and pricing strategies.Closing high-value deals (approximately 80% of your time).Participating in and co-leading marketing initiatives.Providing thought leadership and strategic insights at the executive level.Leveraging your extensive network in the market to drive business growth.Collaborating cross-functionally with our product, sales, and marketing teams, as well as our partners' teams, to create compelling joint value propositions and innovative go-to-market plans.Proudly represent the company at industry events and high-level client meetings.About You (or Here’s What We’re Looking For)We're Looking For a Seasoned Professional WithExtensive experience and a proven track record in enterprise technology with sales to K12, universities, colleges, and channel sales through EdTech Software Providers, Resellers, System Integrators, and Strategic Partners.Strategic thinking capabilities for developing go-to-market strategies and working closely with Marketing and Product to represent true customer needs.Strong leadership skills and ability to contribute at the executive level.Proven ability to close high-value deals.Deep understanding of data governance, data integration, and analytics challenges specific education institutions.Excellent communication skills, including the ability to articulate the value of complex data solutions in terms of institutional outcomes, and simplify complex technical solutions.Passion for leveraging technology to improve student retention and outcomes.A "play nice but win" approach aligned with our company values.Growth mindset: curious, always learning, and welcoming challenges.Track record of leading teams delivering sophisticated data solutions.High proficiency in data-driven decision making and sales forecasting.Experience in building and managing high-performing sales teams.Unwavering commitment to mutual success with customers and partners.Instinctively seeks, generously provides, and strategically creates opportunities for help, fostering a culture of collaborative excellence.Required Skills And ExperienceMust HaveMinimum 12 years of experience in sales management, business development, and high volume team building.Proven track record in complex solution selling to enterprise-level clients, with demonstrable success in navigating multi-stakeholder decision processes.Consistent record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.Experience in developing pricing strategies and sales playbooks.Strong understanding of the education landscape, trends, and challenges.Exceptional relationship-building skills within the entire ecosystem.Enjoy capturing, sharing, and information success and needs through Expert-level proficiency with CRM systems.Knowledge of state and federal education policies and funding mechanisms.Nice To HaveLeadership experience in enterprise cloud deployment with a focus on cloud data management, data governance, security and compliance.Experience selling IPaaS, Data Lake, Analytics or integration platforms.Expertise in data privacy requirements and educational data standards.Published thought leadership or speaking engagements at high education industry conferences.Key Metrics that help Measure SuccessRevenue Growth:Sales Pipeline and Forecast Accuracy:Customer Acquisition and Retention:Sales Efficiency and Productivity:Market Share and Expansion:Join Authentica Solutions and be part of a dynamic team that's shaping the future of education through data-driven insights.
