This role will serve as a critical touchpoint across multiple complex programs at varying stages of development from early concept through product launch. The person who fills this role should have a strong technical background with advanced subject matter knowledge in the development of hardware, software, machine learning and AI tools in order to manage activities and solve complex business/technical issues. This person is able to think creatively about how to accelerate and unblock developers, while hitting explicit milestones and deadlines. Provides guidance on process improvements and recommends changes in alignment with business tactics and strategy for area of responsibility. Plans, manages and monitors operational/tactical activities of Staff. Manages non-exempt/exempt individual contributors and/or supervisors. Recruits and supports development of direct staff members. Typically reports to MG2 or Director.Responsibilities

Leads planning and execution of multiple complex technical projects or programs in support of the continuing evolution of the organization's products and roadmap.Partners with cross-functional development teams (HW/SW/Platform) to help them prioritize, plan, track and execute complex, cross organizational programs.Performs program analysis, manages risk, identifies and influences necessary course corrections, and communicates program status and activities across multiple levels of management.Rapidly identifies blockers/issues and works cross functionally to effectively resolve with appropriate stakeholders.Identifies resources needed and works closely with the team leads to maintain full visibility of multiple projects, ensuring resource gaps are addressed efficiently.Anticipates bottlenecks, provides escalation management, anticipates and makes tradeoffs, and balances the business needs versus technical constraints.Strategically partners with stakeholders to understand needs and priorities.Translates functional plans into operational processes and guides execution.Creates a TPM (Technical Program Manager) community; advocates the value of TPMs, mentors TPMs across the organization, and ensures that business and engineering TPM needs are being met.Establishes lightweight processes and introduces best practices in order to maximize the velocity and efficiency of the team, without adding unnecessary overhead.Education And Experience Required

Four-year or Graduate Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Management, or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence.Typically has 7-10 years of job-related experience or 5-7 years of management experience, preferably in program/project management, scrum master, professional technology organization, or a related field.Experience with wearable technology (hardware/software), mobile technologies, machine learning/AI preferred.Preferred Certifications

$135,650.00 -- $208,900.00
