The University is committed to attracting and retaining outstanding and diverse faculty and staff that will enhance our stature of preeminence in our three missions of teaching, scholarship, and full engagement in our community, the state of Maryland, and in the world.Position Summary/Purpose of Position:The Division of Information Technology at the University of Maryland, College Park (UMD) is seeking a full-time Process Consultant responsible for leading and guiding the optimization of operations focused on implementing and enhancing Salesforce CRM and Marketing Cloud solutions. This role requires a deep understanding of business process analysis and improvement methodologies, as the consultant will collaborate closely with business analysts, stakeholders, and technical teams to establish standard documentation and operational processes. The Process Consultant will play a pivotal role in identifying areas of opportunity, proposing operational changes, and ensuring the alignment of project goals with the university’s CRM mission and vision.Additionally, the Process Consultant will collaborate with change managers to design and implement strategies that facilitate smooth transitions and high user adoption rates of Salesforce solutions. This role demands strong stakeholder engagement, requiring the consultant to communicate effectively, build consensus, and deliver comprehensive training and support resources. The consultant will also be instrumental in developing evaluation frameworks, gathering feedback, and driving continuous improvement efforts to ensure that the Salesforce team’s operational processes are efficient, scalable, and aligned with best practices. Applicants should have a proven track record in process optimization, focusing on delivering measurable outcomes and enhancing organizational efficiency.Minimum Requirements:Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or universityAt least 3 years of demonstrated process experience in industry or academic settings.Experience executing change and/or business process improvement efforts.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Superior analytical skills, logic and problem-solving skills.Knowledge of Business Process Analysis methodologies.Proven ability to design and develop training resources such as video tutorials and guides to facilitate training efforts.Experience creating communications and presentations for leadership, and facilitating high-level brainstorming.Demonstrated success dealing with stakeholder and technological ambiguities and ability to learn on the fly to understand and solve new problems.Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing in a manner which is clear, logical, and consistent.Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to interact at all levels of the organization.Ability to effectively work as a team and independently.Demonstrated experience with drafting technical or strategic documents.Preferences:Experience working on Salesforce CRM and Marketing Cloud projects.Experience executing and maintaining cloud-based tools including Confluence, Canvas, etc., used in stakeholder communications and training.Experience working in administrative units within higher education.Familiarity with organizational development.Experience leading projects.Expertise in applying branding and accessibility standards to UI/UX solutions.Knowledge of video production software such as iMovie, Panapto.Job Risks:Not Applicable to This PositionPhysical Demands:Occasional evening and weekend work to meet deadlines.Sitting for extended periods of time.Dexterity of hands and fingers required to operate a computer keyboard or mouse, and to handle other computer components.This position is considered an essential position and may be required to work at the normal work location or an alternative location during a major catastrophic event, weather emergency, or other operational emergencies to help maintain continuity of University services.Posting Date:
