Job Description

Norco is currently seeking an individual to fill our Combination Non-CDL Route Delivery Driver position. The Combination Non CDL Route Delivery Driver delivers and exchanges full cylinders and liquid vessels for empty ones and also delivers freight to customers on a weekly route stop. The Combination Non CDL Route Delivery Driver is responsible for the delivery, set-up and pick up of DME equipment, supplemental oxygen products and supplies to home care patients within a prescribed and assigned geographical area. Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Efficiently organize delivery route on a daily basisDelivers durable medical equipment and other home care related equipment to specific points of deliveryDelivers liquid and compressed gaseous oxygen to specified points of deliveryProtects patient PHI per HIPAA regulationsHandles the retrieval of rental return items and their proper handling and placement into the rental return roomCompletes delivery and pick-up paperwork promptly and accurately and returns it to the proper facility personnelProvides patient/client orientation, instructing on the proper use of equipment, when applicableWorks with patients/clients to solve a variety of problems, thereby acting as a company field representativeAssists in cleaning, disinfecting, and minor repair work on rental equipmentMaintains a neat clean personal appearancePromotes teamwork among co-workers which includes assisting fellow drivers as neededDemonstrates timeliness, courtesy, sincerity and patience when dealing with customersAdhere to all established procedures, policies and safety rulesPerforms pre-trip inspection of truckLoads freight and accurately fills out truck manifestPerforms other tasks as assigned or necessaryQualifications

High school graduate or equivalentNo at fault accidents in the past 3 yearsClass Regular driver's licenseAbility to lift and/or carry objects weighing up to 50 lbs. frequently and occasionally weighing over 100 lbsGood organizational skillsAccurately enter data into computer and acquire a working knowledge or any software applications applicable to the positionPerform basic mathematics calculationsAbility to accurately enter data into computer and acquire a working knowledge or any software applications necessary to the positionExcellent customer service skillsFamiliar with all DOT and FDA regulations as they pertain to oxygenFamiliar with required accreditation policies and procedures as they pertain to delivery driver related activities and customer/staff safetyAbility to perform tasks requiring manual dexterity (picking up small cylinders, rolling large cylinders, pushing cylinder cart, hand trucks, steering truck, etc.)Additional Information
