About the Role
The function of this position is to provide technical expertise and support for Predictive Maintenance (PdM) Technologies for our Combat Vehicles. This position will be part of our Digital Systems Software Engineering (DSSE) team. Our mission is to investigate, develop, and demonstrate PdM capabilities for GDLS vehicle platforms. The team works as part of a cross-functional team with responsibility and authority to deliver PdM capabilities and associated software products with the goal of integrating and testing them at the subsystem and vehicle level.
Responsibilities to Anticipate for this Role Collaborate with engineering and operations team to ensure effective implementation of predictive maintenance strategies. Implement and manage condition monitoring systems to track equipment health. Collect and analyze data from various sensors and systems to identify potential equipment failures. Data analysis and modeling: Develop and apply predictive models to forecast equipment failure and maintenance needs. Prepare and maintain documentation related to PdM activities including equipment health, predictive analytics, maintenance and reports on system performance and issues. Provide technical support for the installation, configuration, and maintenance and updating of PdM tools and software systems and equipment. Continuously improve predictive maintenance processes and technologies through research and innovation and stay updated with latest technologies and best practices. Perform other duties as assigned. Must hold a bachelor's degree from an accredited 4-year university or college with a discipline in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Data Science, Computer Science, Computer Engineer or similar. Minimum of 3 years experience in Maintenance Engineering or Reliability Engineering Proficiency with data analysis tools (i.e., Python, R, MATLAB and machine learning techniques Technical skills
Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware and software technologies related to PdM systems. Familiarity with sensors and data acquisition systems of condition monitoring (example-vibration analysis thermography) Strong skills in data collection and processing data from various sources (e.g. sensors, database). Strong data analysis skills and experience with machine learning algorithms. Experience with maintenance management software (CMMS, EMS systems) and PdM software. Knowledge of networking principles end how they apply to connected maintenance systems. Documentation - ability to create and maintain technical documentation and user guides. Defense Industry knowledge Awareness of relevant regulations and standards affecting the maintenance and reliability. Soft skills
Strong verbal written communication, and presentation skills Ability to work well in a team environment and collaborate with engineers, technicians, and other stakeholders. Problem solving and analytical skills to identify issues, troubleshoot problems and find solutions. Time management - ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently. Certifications
Certified maintenance and reliability technician (CMRT)) or Certified reliability engineer (CRE) by Society for Maintenance and Reliability Professionals (SMRP) Machine learning or data science certification from Certified Analytics Professional (CAP) or similar organizations.
